"If you are looking for a real estate company that genuinely cares about you and your situation I would recommend Carter and Company.

My husband and I had to relocate due to a job lost. This left us with a mortgage that was more than we could handle in a market that was not seller friendly. We needed to sell fast and knew that we would not be able to sell for what we owed. We search short sale specialist companies for assistance only to get a run around about the difficulty of trying to short sale a home. We even had an appointment with a particular company that never showed up and did not call.

Fortunately, we found Sue Carter. She had no experience dealing with mortgage companies and the short sale process, but she was willing to give of her time to work for us. And work she did! Dealing with two mortgage lenders and the headache of being strung through person after person to find out what needed to be done. Carter and Company went beyond the call to find us a buyer and work with the mortgage lenders to get an acceptable contact for all parties in question.

"In the fall of 2003 my job transferred me to Cullman Al. and we were in quick need of finding a new home.  We randomly searched local Realtors and by chance partnered up with Sue Carter of Carter and Company.  Sue was extremely easy to work with from the start.  She made us feel very comfortable and helped us understand the local market and what type and size home we could get for our money.  She spent several days showing us many properties and helped us narrow our search to the most likely options, all the while keeping our specific needs mind.  Once we decided on the home we wanted, Sue was very quick to help us get the house we liked along with financing that fit our budget.  The closing went smoothly as well.  Sue communicated everything to us very clearly and was able to quickly answer any questions that we had. 
 
Fast forward..... We lived in our home almost 5 years, loving every minute we spent near the lake.  In the summer of 2008 I was offered a promotion which included another relocation to Arkansas.   We didn't hesitate to call Sue again as we were very happy on the purchasing end and wanted her to help us again.   Sue quickly came to visit and helped us get our home on the market and ready to sell.  She helped us just as before, and was very knowledgeable and diligent in getting our home sold.   With the housing market on a downward turn, Sue was still able to help us sell our home within a very reasonable amount of time.  We were extremely pleased with the service, professionalism, and communication that Sue offered to us both personally and on behalf of Carter and Company.  I would highly recommend Carter and Company, as well as Sue to anyone who is buying or selling a home.  She is first class when it comes to customer service!   I only wished we could have used her in Arkansas to purchase our new home...
