Born and raised in Cullman, I have loved calling this area home. It seems my life has revolved around helping people, teaching, volunteering in various organizations, and being involved in local government.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Education later followed by a Masters in Social Science Education and Educational Administration, I taught school in the Cullman City School System for 28 years. Following my retirement as a teacher, I served as principal at Sacred Heart School for an additional 6 years. In addition, I served as a City Councilman for 8 years, as well as having other involvement in various areas of the community such as the Planning Commission, the Cullman-Jefferson Gas Board, the Cullman Octoberfest Board, and the Cullman Historical Society.
I’ve been honored to receive the Cullman City Schools Outstanding Alumni award, the Alabama State Board of Education District VI Teacher of the Year award, and I served as the Octoberfest Burgermeister in 2006.
I am married to Susan Martin Hauk and we have one daughter, Samantha. I am excited to start a new chapter where my love of houses can be part of helping people find their forever home, or for now home. I look forward to helping put buyers and sellers together to make their dreams come true by identifying the potential beauty of any home. I want to be of service to you!
